Whether you are a homeowner, tenant, landlord, property owner, or curious citizen, join us for a presentation/discussion about the basics of fair housing. Discussion will include information about protected classes, prohibited practices, reasonable accommodations, filing a complaint, advocacy, and more. Each session will include more in-depth discussion about a specific topic (described below). General questions are welcome!
July 27 – Fair housing basics with more in depth discussion about protections for persons with disabilities, including reasonable modifications/accommodations and animals
September 7 – Fair housing basics with more in depth discussion about sex discrimination, including sexual orientation and gender identity
November 9 – Fair housing basics with more in depth discussion about color discrimination and national origin
* Hosted by the City of Lancaster/Community Development Department and led by Thomas E. Zani, Esq., Senior Staff Attorney with Southeastern Ohio Legal Services.
* Direct legal advice on a specific problem will not be addressed at the presentation. Avenues to explore specific questions will be explained.
Our Main Library is located in downtown Lancaster. This location features a large meeting room, as well as a board room and study room. Our children's area has an Early Literacy Center, perfect for preschool-aged children.
