Ever wonder what goes on at City Hall and how citizens can make their voices heard? The Community Development Department is here for you! We help residents improve their neighborhoods and the houses and businesses within them. We’ll guide you through the City’s website and our programs and services, and we want to hear from you – homeowners, renters, landlords, business owners, and non-profits. We have opportunities for volunteering, neighborhood improvement, home repair, lead paint removal, Do-it-Yourself workshops, and more. Our Main Library is located in downtown Lancaster. This location features a large meeting room, as well as a board room and study room. Our children's area has an Early Literacy Center, perfect for preschool-aged children.
