Wanted: Willing adventurers looking to up their RPG experience and roll the dice for fun and fantasy-profit. Comes with free loot.
Please note: this program is encouraged for adults, and teens in high school.
This program is for anyone from folks who are already deep into tabletop RPGs or just looking to dip their toes into the topic.
Led by RPG vet Ben Claymier, with several campaigns under his belt (and the emotional scars to prove it). We'll be talking about topics like, "finding and running a group," "mastering mechanics," "painting minis," and more.
After a brief 15-20 minute introductory lesson, we will be turning you over to actually get your hands on some dice and run through some dungeons!
Each "talk" is different, as is the swag, so read on for more info:
So you Want to Slay Dragons?
Saturday, January 28th at 2 pm.
This class covers finding a group, leading your first game, and what you need to know before the dice roll. Comes with a free notebook, dice, and 5E character sheets!
Building Your Army!
Saturday, February 18th at 2 pm.
This session is all about the dos and don'ts of minis, gear, and props. We'll be painting resin minis, and we'll touch on some best practices for getting your gear painted up how you like and on the table quickly. You'll also be able to take your mini home with you when you're all done!
Did I mention that there will be free snacks and drinks at each program? Can't play games without snacks and drinks.
Both programs will be held on the 3rd floor of the main library.
Our Main Library is located in downtown Lancaster. This location features a large meeting room, as well as a board room and study room. Our children's area has an Early Literacy Center, perfect for preschool-aged children.
