Vampires, Zombies, Ghosts, and Curses, these things live rent-free in our nightmares, especially this month, but how much do you really know about the history of these horrors? Join monstrous mythos master (of information sciences) Ben Claymier as he takes you through some of our most famous frights, with films to follow!
Each week we’ll be exploring a new monster and movie, so stop by for new frights each week!
On the 14th we'll be discussing the history and culture of Vampires, with a screening of "A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night."
For the 21st we'll be taking a look at the facts and fiction of Zombies, followed by the original "Night of the Living Dead."
And on the 28th we have a special presentation about the roots of Halloween itself, with a screening of "Trick r' Treat."
All these films and more are available now on Kanopy if you'd like to brush up on your boogeymen before the program.

All minors are encouraged to be accompanied by an adult.
Free snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own!

Our Main Library is located in downtown Lancaster. This location features a large meeting room, as well as a board room and study room. Our children's area has an Early Literacy Center, perfect for preschool-aged children.
