Reading for Change book group
The Reading for Change Book Discussion Group will explore Race and Ethnicity Equity and Inclusion (REEI). Through group discussion, we will expand our knowledge of systemic racism and intersectional social justice issues, examining how we uphold these systems of inequality, and identify steps we can take to combat inequalities. We hope to provide an inclusive space to explore meaningful change. This group will spend two or three months discussing one title so that we have time to unpack the topics in the book and look for ways we can impact change in the community.
In October we will be discussing Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert.
Emerging from a life-threatening illness, a fiercely organized but unfulfilled computer geek recruits a mysterious artist to help her establish meaning in her life, before finding herself engaged in reckless but thrilling activities.
